Life Is Sweeter In Tennessee!

As much as I absolutely LOVE Rexburg it is nice to be home! I miss all of my roommates and friends that were at school, but I will see them in four months and I am sure that it will be here in no time! It is nice to be home with my family and especially the animals (I never realized how much I would miss them!). It is so exciting to be able to not have to worry about studying for an exam or sleeping through class because I stayed up too late talking!
I had an interesting flight home though! It was insane! So, on the way to Salt Lake City from Rexburg I took the Salt Lake Express (that is a bus that some of us students take! :]) to the airport. There was a blizzard, so there was snow everywhere! They driver was going very slow (she was scary too.. She was a butch. haha) because she we were sliding everywhere! But, that was ok because I was with my roommate Christina and we slept pretty much the whole way! We got to the airport about an hour later than planned and my plane was leaving in about 30 minutes and I still had to check my bags in! Well, I got everything checked in and started running to the gate! I got to the plane with some time to spare, but then it was snowing and the plane was freezing! On the runway they sprayed this non-freezing stuff on it and by the time they finished the complete plane it started to freeze again on the wings! That was insane! So, we sat there for about an hour and I was starting to get somewhat nervous! We finally got in the air and, of course, we landed late! Low and behold, I missed my connecting flight to go home! I was kind of excited because many of you know, I want to see the Vegas strip and Christina's sister lives in Vegas (that was where my connecting flights were..)! So, I had a plan! Dad had texted me and informed me that I didn't need to freak out because there was another flight that night. Dang it! So, I had to go to Atlanta before I went home (what is another flight? I love flying!!!) to Memphis. I got on the plane that was headed to Atlanta (which was late.. lame!!) and I was squished to say the least! I was going crazy after about an hour and I wanna say it was a three almost four hour flight. I got to the Atlanta airport in a bad mood and ready to be home when I find out I have 20 minutes to RUN across the airport to my other flight! I was grumpy and next to tears on the phone with my dad! Mom was on the phone telling them to hold the flight and that I was running! Ok.. So, I wasn't really running, but I was definintely booking it through the airport!! With no breath left in my lungs I finally made it huffing and puffing when I sat down on my last flight home! I was so relieved that I didn't have to sleep in the airport for that night! It was also pretty nice because the lady that I sat by was a CPA! She had her masters in accounting (that is my major, by the way...) and I talked to her for a while about the whole degree and just things about it! That was way nice and I got so many questions answered!! I get to the airport and decided to go to the bathroom because that was like ten times more important than seeing my family! :] haha.. They were happy to see me; I'm not exactly sure why!!
Needless to say I am home now! Safe and sound.
Over the past (not even a week yet!), I have been working like crazy! I work at Best Buy and I love it! I am a cashier and I hate to say that I missed it a little, but I did! It is nice to be able to come back and be guaranteed a job. Me and Mom went shopping yesterday and I got some clothes for Christmas (we are going to wrap them!!) and some khakis for work! Finally some long comfy ones! They were on sale too, so I was proud! Well, I am going to have lots more time to write on my blog now, but there probably isn't anything too exciting that is going on, but I can try to find something!
I wanted to put a picture on here! So, this is me and Christina in our aparment kitchen! We matched that day because we had the sideways ponytail goin on! Just so ya'll get a picture of what she looks like!!
Oh.. I wanted to say one more thing! At the Las Vegas airport when we were landing, I got to see the south part of the strip!! Can i even tell you how excited I was!? I got to see the Luxor and MGM Grand! Too bad it wasn't at night when I could see all of the lights! That is what I want to see... It is ok though because we are planning a trip when we are in Rexburg during the summer semester! :]
