Lady Antebellum Concert and Thanksgiving!!
Lady Antebellum Concert!!So, for my birthday Hanna and Nathan Williams got me tickets to go to the Lady Antebellum Concert here in Idaho Falls! Hanna came and then I got Nathan tickets for his birthday which was a few days after mine (Mine is October 23 and his was October 30.. Yes, I know this blog is extremely late!!!) So, on October 27, when I got out of class I called Hanna to come over! We got all ready and everything and then Nathan came and picked us up to head to the concert! It started at 7, so we
grabbed some food in Idaho Falls and went straight to the concert! It was SO much fun to say the least! We got there and we were in the nosebleed section for sure, but it was a small place. So, they were still pretty good seats! The concert was to help raise money for the meth campaign (to fight it.. ha.. But, we just went for the band.. not the campaign!!). While we were waiting we took some pictures together! It was a lot of fun! We were just singin away and shoutin as loud as we could! It was a really good concert and they were really good live! Too bad it was so short! So, after the concert we took some pictures outside and then drove back to Rexburg
talking about it almost the whole way home! Then, we went to Sonic and got some ice cream! Yummy! Then, we had to call it a night because Hanna had to get up for work early the next morning (lame married folk.. haha just kidding!!).. Needless to say, I would definately do that again anytime!!!
Thanksgiving!!
For Thanksgiving I went down to Salt Lake City and stayed with some family friends! It was so much fun and I was so excited to get out of Rexburg! I rode with my roommates and we left at like noon on Friday. I got to Utah and was so excited for the break! My friend, Kelsey, who I was staying with goes to BYU and she had class on Monday, so Saturday after we helped move their family into a different house (yes, they did move like not even a week before Thanksgiving and had everything unpacked by then! I was so amazed at how fast they did it!!!) we went back up to her apartment for the rest of the weekend.. I went over to Anson Grigg's house and hung out with him and his roommates! It was pretty fun.. I watched Wall-E for the first time! I loved that movie! (I bought it yesterday actually!!) So, I was with him all day and then I went back to Kelsey's apartment and worked on some homework.. That was probably the smartest thing I did the whole break! So, then it was time for
bed. I went to bed and woke up to the most obnoxious ringtone in the world.. Timmy Brumley called and was ready to hang out with me! So, I hung out with him all day while Kelsey went to her classes. Timmy and I went to the mall, ate at Olive Garden, and saw Madagascar 2 (another really good movie!!)! I got back to the Dupin's house and relaxed.. Later on that week, on Wednesday, my parents got there probably around 11 that night! I was SO excited to see them! I had not seen them since September when I came to school! It was nice to see them. So, the week went by and Thanksgiving was great! I ate so much food and pie it was crazy! While we were in Salt Lake, we got to do some fun things! I think the one thing that I remembered most was when we got to go to Temple Square together. I love that place! Later that night, Kelsey, Weslie, and I went back up to see it in lights!
It is gorgeous!! We rode the Utah trax because we didn't really want to fight with the crazy Utah drivers! When we were waiting on them we took some fun pictures!! Mom and Dad brought me back to Rexburg on November 30. We went out to eat almost every meal which was great since all I eat here are noodles and junk food.. hmm that's really exciting! Last night, two of my roommates came to the hotel that they stayed in and we went swimming and got in the hot tub (Mom and Dad were too cool for that I guess, so they didn't join us!). I said bye last night and they left early this morning while I was sleeping safe and sound in my apartment! It was Dad's first time here in Rexburg, so I think he was pretty darn surprised! I am not so sure he believed me when I said it was just a little college town! Thanksgiving was great fun and I am glad to be back here in Rexburg for about two weeks and then I am going home to Bartlett!!!
This is a video that I recorded at the concert! It is country.. But, It's one of their most well-known songs! In the middle they do some ACDC which was really fun! When I wasn't watching the camera it got pretty shaky and I'm sorry, but it's good! Not too good sound quality, but I can tell what they are singin! Enjoy!!
